FIELD OF STUDY: Medicine

We would like to investigate bio-markers for Parkinson's disease based on linkage of huge datasets.  I have the expertise, leadership and motivation necessary to successfully carry out the proposed work. In the last years I managed, overlooked and carried out numerous epidemiological database studies, with expertise in all medical, clinical and applicative aspects.  I have been studying the epidemiology of Parkinson's disease in cooperation with Dr. Chava Peretz for over 20 years. This research is based on prior investigations and knowledge (see publications), and on our clinical work at the Movement Disorders Unit, the Tel Aviv Medical Center. We have been using datasets from multiple data sources of Israel's largest HMO – Maccabi - a pharmacy dataset, disease registries and administrative data.
