Position description:
The School of Public Health seeks outstanding candidates to fill a full time senior tenure-track faculty position. Candidate should possess solid and proven knowledge in emergency and disaster management, specifically in the following areas: crisis management, resilience, population coping and control, and decision making under uncertain circumstances.
The successful candidate will be required to initiate and lead innovative research projects, collaborate with colleagues, supervise graduate students and take part in teaching at the School of Public Health and the Faculty of Medicine, as well as other department activities.
Nominations will be according to Tel Aviv University policy and procedure, pending the discretion and approval by the relevant academic authorities. The academic rank will be determined according to the candidate's qualifications and achievements.
Position requirements:
Candidates must hold a PhD degree in public health, epidemiology and preventive medicine and / or management (or related fields of study) with postdoctoral fellowship in relevant areas of the position.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research through publications in peer-reviewed leading journals.
Excellence in research.
Hands-on experience in planning public policies in the field of emergencies.
Strong teaching skills in both English and Hebrew.
